TIGRESS T 1 : AVANI

It was stated in the newspapers that tigress T 1 Avni had been shot by hunter who said that it was man-eater. In the same breath it was also stated that there was no evidence about it. The man who shot her stated that it jumped to attack him so he shot her but the postmortem report stated that it was shot from behind.

In The Sunday Times of 18th of this month Twinkle Khanna had written about this. I agree with her in what she said. We are to blame for it to kill humans as we continue encroaching upon FOREST land in the name of progress and urbanisation thus reducing space for them to hunt for consumption.
We need to give them their space.

PETS

Our pet dog Zubi passed away on 29 August this year. I am still to get over the loss. She was 12 years 5 months old. She had developed tumours. I had taken her for operation but unfortunately she passed away on the operating table. While we were waiting for her to be taken into operation room, she kept looking at me as if to convey “ It is ok as you are there with me.” We cremated her the same day and immersed her ashes in river Yamuna next day.

We have been keeping dogs for a long time, say almost for over 30 years. When our previous dogs died, I did feel sad but got over it in a few days. This may be as our children and later grandchildren also were with us. This time Zubi gave us company for the last  4 years 8 months when self and my wife have been living alone. That may be the reason my attachment to her developed a lot and I treated her like a family member. That may be why I am yet to get over her going away even after more than a week.

I pray that May God bless her soul with eternal peace.

I am sorry, I could not resist sharing my feelings with you all.

It is really very unfortunate for a nation when some of it's politicians are willing to compromise the security of the nation or in other words sell the nation for the sake of votes. God bless such nations.

LONELINESS

I had told earlier that I and my wife live alone as our daughter is married and our son is in Canada with his family. Though our daughter is in Delhi but we meet once in a month or so but are in telephonic touch. Her children visit us when they have long vacations. It had been working fine but lately I have started feeling lonely.

So, my friends, please do keep in touch and visit if you can find time to make this old man little happy.

Would you still call Kathua Rape Case a " SMALL ISSUE" if it was your daughter who was victim?

PRISON

I strongly feel that any influential person awarded prison sentence should not be kept in any prison in the concerned state or even region but sent to far away region to undergo his sentence. This must be thought of for those who were convicted in Haryana and Rajsthan lately. 

ASHAMED

I am lost for words to express what I feel about such a barbaric act committed by devils in human form who raped poor 8 years old girl in Kathua. Caste, creed in immaterial. To add enormously to this feeling is that a section of society came out in support of perpetrators such beastly act. I would like to ask these supporters what would their reaction be if  such an act was committed on their daughter, sister or relative? 

I hope and pray that guilty are given exemplary punishment to deter repetition of such inhuman crimes.

SUPREME COURT EPISODE

It is really disturbing what has happened in case of our Supreme Court. I as a common citizen would like to say the following :

a) The involved 4 Hon'ble Judges should have resigned while putting up such letter.

b) Their allegation about Hon'ble Chief Justice allotting cases as per his decisions makes one wonder if these Hon'ble Judges wanted some particular cases to be given to them but it was not done which made them take the stand they have. In case they were keen or interested in some particular case to be allotted to them, then it makes one wonder if they had some personal interest in those cases.

These are my feelings without casting aspersions on anyone.
