I am a retired Defence officer in 77th year of my life. I and my wife stay alone as our daughter is married and son is settled abroad.
We shifted to self owned current flat in DDA society in Vasant Kunj in mid last year. Before that we stayed for over 10 years in a rented flat in a society in Dwarka. That society had only 2 blocks consisting of 72 flats. Many of the flats were yet to be occupied. When I went for evening walks apart from saying hello to society mates whom I met, I felt overjoyed when children playing in small park within the complex, came running to say HELLO DADU.
Here when I go for evening walks there is hardly any interaction with others and even children are busy amongst themselves. I do wave at them and few of them wave back.
This situation makes me feel lonely. So I request that those who feel comfortable, please do make contact with me so that I can have company. Gender is no bar.
