ROHINI tagged me twice some time ago and I promised each time that I will do it a s a p. She has been very affectionately reminding me about it and now I do not see any reason to delay these, so here are BOTH the tags one after another :

TAG II

In FIRST TAG by Rohini I am supposed to say 7 RANDOM THINGS. Well, these are really random things which come in my mind as I write it

Why can we not live peacefully?
Is money above all relationships?
Why can we not try to understand other’s point of view too and be accommodative if it leads to peaceful living?
Why do we become adamant at our demands which we in our heart of hearts know to be unreasonable and cause anguish to others?
Why should the women not be given equal rights?
Why can we not respect others to have them respect us as we all know respect begets respect?
Why do we not make sincere efforts to keep our relations healthy?

Well, there are many more but as it restricted my rumbling to only 7 RANDOM THINGS, I end it here.

TAG III

SECOND TAG by Rohini is slightly difficult as I am supposed to tell 3 good things about myself. How do I praise my ownself? As she also said, it amounts to being APNA MOONH MIYAN MITTHU. And Shayon too had tagged me for this. Anyway TAG is TAG. I always say follow your conscience, these are some of the actions I follow as per my conscience :

1. I like LIVE AND LET LIVE policy. Why create unnecessary tensions? Of course it does not mean that I take nonsense.
2. I love to extend helping hand in whatever way possible to those in need and are willing to accept advice which is upto them to follow or not. I never like to force anyone to do what I wish unless not doing is dangerous to someone.
3. Before I point my finger towards anyone I try to put myself in his or her shoes and see if I could have done whatever was done differently.

Now I am supposed to give one photograph which I like the best. I am not very computer savvy so this may not come out as desired. But here is my try :

Again I do not name anyone for these 2 TAGs but those who wish to, please go ahead.

WHO TO BLAME?

There were six of them, 3 boys and 3 girls – Rohit & Sonam, Arun & Devika and Vaibhav & Pallavi. All in their late teens. They had just finished with their 12th final examinations. To celebrate getting free from stress of last school examinations, they had got together on the last day with some other classmates at the house of one of the group straight from examination hall. They had informed their parents before hand about having party and would be late in getting home. The atmosphere was totally carefree with lots of cold drinks and fast food laid out. There was some beer too but not much. They sang whatever, danced and mimicked their teachers. Time just flew and it was past 6 in the evening before anyone realized it.

As the party started breaking up, Rohit suggested to other five that they go over to the disco opened recently in the nearby satellite town. Everyone in that “beat it up” mood agreed without a second’s hesitation. So six of them piled into car lent to Arun by his father. It took them good part of an hour to reach there due to both ways evening traffic of people returning home from work. They all had informed respective homes about it and that they would be back by midnight or so.

They had a time of their life with no care or worry weighing on their mind. They did not drink much, just a little beer to stay in that place and lots of eats. It was around midnight that Sonam pointed out that they return home. So after a little while they all reluctantly set out for return. There was not much of traffic at that time. As they got half way with their loud singing alongwith the music being played and laughing, Arun found a tractor trolley overloaded with cattle feed moving slowly in front with hardly any space to overtake. The load was in gunny cloth bulging on both sides as well as rear of the trolley. Arun gave horn and flickered lights but to no avail. There was no choice but to follow this contraption slowly till opportunity arose to overtake it. They all were cursing the driver of tractor. There were no other vehicles except another car about a kilometer behind them. They all were getting very annoyed.

After a couple of kilometers the tractor lurched towards right. So Arun on seeing little space on the left accelerated to overtake it. It was only when he was almost parallel with the trolley that he noticed a truck parked right ahead of them with load of iron rods protruding from it. There was no time for him to stop the car even with harsh application of brakes. So car hit the parked truck or rather protruding iron rods at high speed. The rods broke through the windshield and pierced Arun and Devika who was sitting in front. The impact was so strong that rods went through the whole car coming out of rear glass. All the window glasses were shatterd with shards flying all over inside the car. The car got twisted jamming the doors. Rohit and Vaibhav were sitting on the sides with Sonam and Pallavi in middle of the rear seat. Iron rods went through the gap between front two seats and pierced both the girls too. Both the boys were hit by rods on sides and flying glass pieces. There was a lone roadside dhaba nearby and few persons there rushed to the spot. The car coming behind reached the spot in a few minutes and people traveling in it stopped but could not do much as the car was badly mangled. One of them called up police on the emergency number.

Though the police arrived soon enough but by the time they could organize rescue, it was too late. All six young lively persons were no more. The tractor driver unaware of what happened had carried on but was stopped at police check post ahead as police party from spot had sent message. The offending parked truck driver and his helpers were at the dhaba to have some tea. They as well as owner of dhaba had seen the whole accident happening.

This raises question – Who do we blame for this loss of young lives?

Is it overenthusiasm of the youngsters to live it up?

Is it lack of proper parental guidance or supervision?

Is it that tractor trolley driver overloading and endangering lives of other road users?

Is it the truck driver parking dangerously loaded truck with protruding iron rods without sufficient warning or space endangering lives of others using the road?

Is it authorities who though aware of such acts of neglect by vehicles do not take proper action to stop such breaches of law?

WHAT CAN ADAMANT NATURE LEAD TO

I am Anu. I come from a high middle class family. My father is from rural area but since he was in transferable service we stayed in towns, mostly small or medium. I studied in the best available schools and had been good in studies as well as other extra curricular activities. My father, though strict disciplinarian, used to pamper me a lot telling me that I was cut above all other classmates or friends of mine. This made me feel superior to all my age group girls or even little older ones. I have fair complexion with attractive face. I am comparatively tall with fairly good shape.

My father was transferred to Delhi when I was in 8th standard. Though we had visited Delhi off and on but it was totally different to live here. I was admitted to a very reputed co-education school. I found boys & girls very advanced and forward. I felt I was way behind them. This hurt my pride as I was used to being in the lead. So I made concerted efforts to be like them. I changed my hair style to shoulder length from wearing braids. I started copying clothing trends, their mannerism and way of speaking. In short I tried to become a modern girl in every way. I completed my schooling and then moved on to college. My father was transferred but I continued staying in Delhi with my mother as I wanted to continue my education here. He had purchased a house for us in a decent locality. The inhabitants of this locality are also well to do and modern.

I developed friendship with a boy while in 1st year of college. We, in keeping with trend, became close in due course of time and on his insistence had physical relations too as that seemed to be the in thing. I did PG Diploma in marketing after graduation. Thereafter I got a job with a reputed company as marketing executive. This gave me feeling of financial independence. However I could never go against wishes of my father. He refused to accept my boyfriend for marriage with me. So I was married as per his choice.

I went out with my husband few times before marriage and we spoke about our future. He is a nice person. I had known before marriage that we will need to stay with his parents as he is the only son. I had shown my willingness. We got married few months after our engagement. His parents are nice and welcomed me with a lot of love. They give me a lot of freedom and respect. His father is very frank and open minded. He always supported me if there was any need for it. I have no complaints against them.

About six months after my marriage I asked my husband to live separately as some of my friends were. I told him that I wanted to have my own home because I never felt this as my home. He refused. I have not said anything to his parents. So I started picking some issue or the other and go over to my parents. I used to return after a week or more hoping that he might agree to live separately. We have been married for about a year and half now. I came to my parent’s place about 4 months ago telling him that I would return only if he agreed to live separately but he is still not willing. I have been to his place on few week ends as I am working. His parents do not interfere though father is keen that I get back at the earliest. They have left it to their son to decide if he wishes to live separately. I know I am causing a lot of tension but I want him to be stressed out to give in to my demand. I do miss his company as I am a normal healthy girl of 26.

I had changed my job last month as such I have not visited him for three weeks. I am now with a Marketing Consultancy Company. We do not have any dress code for office but we do wear formals when we go for meeting with clients. Mostly I wear jeans with normal tops. At times I wear low waist jeans. I know that when I bend to pick up anything I expose my butt a little. This gives me a thrill that I can still make men look at me. This also gives me a feeling that I am living with time.

My boss Amit, is good looking and very advanced. He wears trendy clothes. His wife is very beautiful and modern. Many a times I wish I was like her. She is working in a MNC. They have been married for about 3 years. He is little elder to my husband. We share good working relationship. I try to match his outlook of life. I make efforts to live upto his expectations. At times we sit late when new product is being launched. During our casual chit chats I told him that I was at my parent’s place and the reasons for that. He seemed very understanding and supporive.

We got a reputed company as new client about 2 weeks ago. We are working on launch of their new products. This is being conceptualized by Amit and me. Last Friday there was some maintenance work being carried out in our office. Around lunch Amit suggested that we move to his place where we could carry on with work without disturbance. I was thrilled at this suggestion as I felt that he found me so competent for coming out with new ideas. So we picked up our laptops and other necessary items to go.

I followed him in my car. I was awed to see his apartment in a posh locality. It was so modern and with such amenities. His wife was away at work. We placed our laptops on work table in the study room. He ordered for lunch which was expected in about half an hour. He asked me if I would like to have something to drink as he was going to have a glass of beer. I did not want to be seen as not modern so I opted for beer with little Limca or Fanta. I have had drinks earlier since college days to live upto reputation of being modern. We moved over to drawing room. He busied himself getting our drinks. He asked me to take out snacks kept in the bottom drawer of sideboard in the dinning room. I was in low waist jeans and a short top. As I bent to open the said drawer I could sense that I was exposing almost half my butt. When I straightened I saw him staring intently at me. I felt strange current running through me. I gathered myself up. We sat down in the drawing room with our drinks, chit chatting and waiting for lunch to be delivered. By the time it reached we had had a couple of glasses of beer. We had quick lunch and some more beer with it. After that we moved over to study room for work.

We sat on opposite sides of the table working on our laptops. A little later when I told him about what kind of approach I was thinking of, he came over to see it on my laptop. He bent over my shoulder. This closeness sent shivers down my spine. He read what I had typed and exclaimed it to be fantastic. He made some suggestions still bending over my shoulder while I entered those. I could feel his warm breath on the nape of my neck. I started feeling aroused, may be as I had not been with my husband for so many days. I too suggested some changes. While talking I found my voice to be shaky. He put his hands on my shoulders telling me to relax. He kept his hands on my shoulders. He gently pressed and massaged them. This made me want more. Once we had finished the text and read it a couple of times, he praised my work giving a peck on my cheek. I am sure he could feel my shivers. As I got up he pulled me into his arms. I like a zombie melted into his embrace. He held me tightly. As his lips touched mine I felt my knees weakening. Then in highly desirous state I let him lead me to the bedroom. Once there I submitted to his manipulations without any resistance. He undressed me first and then himself. What followed was mad hungry lusty union. Afterwards he told me that he had been wanting to do this ever since the time he saw me at interview. On his asking repeatedly I honestly confessed that I too had enjoyed it. He promised that he would take care of me as long as I wanted due to being away from my husband. I returned home with all kinds of thoughts churning in my mind.

Today is Sunday. After the week end I have to go to office tomorrow. I am in two minds. One says I should not go as I feel having been used. The other says that I should go so we can continue with our relationship to satiate my physical needs and to hell with mama’s boy, my husband. My mind is in confusion.

NOTE BY AUTHOR : This is based on true behavior of a girl. Her bearing and conduct is office gossip.

Don’t you think this can happen if one takes unreasonable stand coupled with projecting false facade of oneself?

SENSE OF SATISFACTION

Today morning I had gone to market with grandchildren. They clung to me when suddenly a tall well built man of about 50 blocked my way touching my feet while saying “ Sir, do you remember me?”. Even at that age he looked handsome. His good looking wife and 2 grown up children, a boy and a girl, were a step behind him. His face looked familiar. I tried hard to place him but could not. His next words to his wife “ Remember I have been telling you of someone who showed me the right path, he is the one ” opened floodgates of my memory. I was seeing him after more than 20 years. His wife stepped forward touching my feet and so did his son. His daughter after greeting me busied herself with my grandchildren. We spoke for sometime. After exchanging our telephone numbers, I promised to visit them in the nearby town as soon as I could. In the afternoon when all were in siesta mode, I was in the drawing room with newspapers but my mind went over to what happened so many years ago. Let me share it with you all.

His name is Adarsh. He was in the company I was working with. At that time he was about 28, a dashing young man with lot of zeal to work. He was married a year or so back. I had met his wife a few times in official get togethers. She was well educated, intelligent and good looking. She was also working in a reputed organisation. They looked made for each other couple. However as they say looks are deceptive. I learnt that they were not having smooth married life due to his roving eye. I was told that he was not trusted by others because of his many flings. As a matter of fact he was not even given any important task for the fear of leaking secrets on being lured by female company. It was generally expected that it is just a matter of time for the gate to be shown to him. I somehow found it hard that an intelligent and energetic youngman was going waste. A couple of days before I left that company to join another I called him over to my office just before closing time. I put my cards on the table saying that what I heard about him did not go with his intelligence and education. I asked him if he would like to speak to me openly so if possible I could suggest some remedial ways. After remaining silent for a while he opened up.

He was second amongst three siblings with other two being sisters. His father was in Government service at decent but not very high post. They lived in a small accommodation provided to them. There was not much of privacy. He had recollections of his parent copulating, though not openly, at night when they thought he was asleep. He did know what it was at that time but felt that it was something which could not be done in front of others. He was about 7 or 8 when an older boy made him strip and felt him around as well as made him reciprocate. He liked the sensation and it seemed forbidden act. They continued with this and more for next few years. It was in 9th standard that he came in contact with girls. A few months later he and his girlfriend explored each other. There was no stopping after that. By the time he had completed graduation he had had a string of girlfriends due to his being tall and handsome. He was topper in studies, top class debater and a good sportsman which made sought after by girls. He had made love to almost all of them. He got into habit of changing girlfriends like outfashioned clothes. He confessed that he feels enamoured on seeing an attractive girl with good assets and shapely bottom. He gets a strong desire to have her. He said he felt helpless to control this urge.

After hearing all this, I asked him if he had sought any professional help. He replied in negative as that would bring him out openly harming his relations with all. So I told him that next time when he has that urge, he should force his mind to answer following questions to himself :

a) How would he feel if his wife too wanted to go around with men she found attractive?
b) What would his yet to be born children think of him once they come to know of his habit?
c) Would he let his children, boy or girl, emulate him?
d) Why can he not try to discover new horizons with his wife?

I did not see him again as he did not come to office for the next few days till I left for another town.

And I accidentally met him now after more than 20 years. It made me feel deeply satisfied on knowing that he and his family are happily together.

LET US WELCOME APRIL WITH HUMOUR

After a couple of serious posts it is time for a little humour. So here we go :

Police mobile car received a call from an elderly lady that a young man was indulging in indecent exposure. Officers rushed to her apartment on the 10th floor. She opened the door and motioned them to follow her. She pointed towards her bedroom window asking them to look outside. Both the officers looked hard but could not see anyone doing indecent exposure. They asked the lady as to where was that offender. She whispered asking them to stand on the stool by the window and them look through binoculars through the gap in curtain top and window of apartment on 8th floor of building across the street.

A lady was caught overspeeding. Policeman on scrutinizing her driving license remarked she was not wearing glasses as shown in the license photo. She told him that she has contacts. Policeman stated “ I do not care whom you know, I am going to book you for overspeeding.”

In a crowded shopping center Mintu got separated from his wife of 2 years. He approached a beautiful young lady and requested her to talk to him for a minute. She looked like she was going to yell so he quickly added “ The minute I start talking to a beautiful girl my wife appears out of nowhere and she is lost in crowd at present.”

A beautiful and curvaceous young woman while settling into dentist’s chair remarked that she was not sure if she would like to have her tooth filled or have a baby. The dentist requested her to make up her mind quickly so that he could adjust the chair accordingly.
